Many thanks to Ladybug Mommy Maria for posting an obituary of Fr. Warren - a wonderful Jesuit from the San Francisco Bay Area who recently passed away at the age of 89. (See her post here).
I remember seeing Fr. Warren numerous times over the years at Our Lady of Peace Church in Santa Clara. He was a very personable man and a holy priest. I can still remember bits and pieces of some of his sermons, but the most striking memory for me as a child is that he told me that he liked my name and on a number of occasions reminded me that "Alicia" means "truth".
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Fr. Warren used to walk around Santa Clara University praying the Rosary. I enjoyed attending Mass at the Carmelite monastery up the street from SCU, especially when he said the Mass. Although, I went to Our Lady of Peace often on Sundays, I do not believe that I ever had the privilege of hearing him say the Mass there. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.
I really remember the strength of his voice, too! Even as he aged, his voice remained so strong!
How wonderful to hear all of your reminiscences (and exciting that so many in our blog-circle knew him!). I don't think I've seen him for 20 years, but I will always remember him!
