Thomas Aquinas College

While in Southern California, we enjoyed a visit to our alma mater, Thomas Aquinas College. Ria got to stay for several days and attend classes and such (and John and I had a chance to meet with the financial aid director) and I am happy to report that she decided that's where she wants to go and she has been accepted onto the waiting list for this fall (she actually got her essays turned in *during* our trip). The list isn't very long and so it is very likely that she will be starting there as a Freshman this Fall!

Since my last visit to the college (in 2008), the new chapel was opened and dedicated and we lost two beloved teachers - Thomas Dillon and Marcus Berquist. It was wonderful to see and attend Mass in the gorgeous new chapel, but it was also an emotional visit, bringing to mind our losses.

And speaking of losses, please pray for the repose of the soul of Dr. Molly Gustin, another beloved and legendary tutor at Thomas Aquinas College (who had been retired for several years) who died earlier this week after a stroke.
