You got such a great picture of it!!! We saw one emerging out last week, and I'm yet to blog it...I need to! My camera's focus does not work very good though (from dropping it) so my pictures are not nearly as good as yours!! It was very cool and special to watch though!

Well, I can't take credit for the picture as it was my daughter! :)
You're right that those teacher's manuals are kind of pricey (though the 2005 editions are big improvement over the old ones as I remember). We bought a couple of the TMs and tried out the workbooks for awhile too, but found that we like the simple text itself the best and supplement with lots of other cool stuff (for example, my children always beg to take a turn with the Friendly Defenders cards).
