Alicia, After seeing some of my dark snow photos, my husband told me that the trick to taking photos when it is bright outside is using the flash. I took more photos, forcing the flash, and it worked (I didn't have to use Photoshop or Digital Image to lighten the second batch). Have a wonderful time in the snow!
