Frankly Speaking: Sherlock Holmes Edition

Gus has been reading Sherlock Holmes lately. His softcover copy of the book has a picture of the famous detective on the front. I just had to share with you what Frank (nearly 3 years old) had to say about Mr. Holmes as he pointed at the picture (as dictated to me by Gus):
"He good guy. He get bad guys. He not have sword. He have pockets!"

That's adorable! I always share the Frank stories with his Uncle Stephen. :-)

I'm very glad to hear it! :) I'm sure I've got some Uncle Stephen stories kicking around in my head too. Yep, here's one (which you actually may not have heard). He and Dan (I think) were having some sort of argument (he might have been 5 or 6 years old at the time) and he was frustrated over some confusion of words. He ended up shouting, "Be pacific!" meaning "specific" of course, but we were very amused at the accidental double-meaning.

Hmmm. There was also the time when he was maybe five or six. He had a fever so Mom had me sleep on the floor of his room so I could get her up if he needed anything (Dan didn't count cause he slept like a rock). Anyway, sure enough, Stephen woke up kind of fussy and confused. He started mumbling about something that he needed. I was asking what it was. It came out something like, "I need..... I need...... I need more exercise."

oops - I just realized he was about the same age in both stories, it came out a little silly. :)

Too cute! Thanks for sharing. You know I'm always up for Stephen stories. (Actually, I'm always up for any Lawless stories! :-)

And what a nice big sister you were, sleeping on the floor for your sick baby brother! So did you have him get up and do some jumping jacks? ;-)
