I've been hearing about this for years, but it looks like it's finally coming. There is no dispute about the fact that the English translation of the Mass has been sub-par (if now extremely familiar) since Vatican II. U.S. Bishops voted on it 173-29! I can't help thinking that, in addition to the importance of accuracy and beauty in language, needing to use the book and pay more attention for awhile might be a really good thing for everyone (myself included!).
