I used to attend the monthly (from May through October) Fatima pilgrimages at Our Lady of Peace Church in Santa Clara, California, from the time I was little enough to dress up as one of the angels in the procession. The long-time pastor of Our Lady of Peace, whose sermons and voice I will remember for the rest of my life, was Monsignor John Sweeny - one of a number of very holy priests who influenced my life early on.
